Living the Time Lapse – Hank Life Podcast – S01E08
On this episode of the Hank Life Podcast:
Say hello to the rug’s topography
It holds quite a lot of interest with your face down on it
Say hello to the shrinking in your head
You can’t see it but you know it’s there so don’t neglect it
Say hello to all the apples on the ground
They were once in your eyes but you sneezed them out while sleeping
Say hello to everything you’ve left behind
It’s even more a part of your life now that you can’t touch it
Jasper 2 mins get ready you got a bus to catch. I gazed into the brushed metal mirror with my hands on the side of the sink. I could feel my heat beat in my ears. It was game face time. I could feel the dark callous stretch across my soul. I’d need its protection. Two guards dragged the shackles over to me. One limb at a time they cuffed me.
Alright alright sit down sit down little shits. Welcome to Jail house ingenuity 101
About three months in I was in Harrisburg, IL at the medium secure facility. I grabbed some poor white guy’s lunch try and did my best lucha libre air Jordan dive off the table, tomahawking the side of that lunch tray into the biggest dudes head.
Doing time is a strange thing. After about the 6 month mark you get fully assimilated to the sub-culture and actually psychologically just make it work. I had a few thing that helped to pass the time.
The hardest thing about being locked up. Is being on pause while the world moves forward without you. It’s like standing in the middle of a downtown intersection. There you are a statue. While the rays of light and blurs of life pass by you. Out of reach. Out of touch. Doing time is a living time lapse.
Once the Facebook page gets to 100 likes Hank will do a photo shoot in the Tarzan outfit.
